In June 2023, we, a group of individuals whose lives have centred around lacrosse, came up with the idea of launching a lacrosse clothing range to provide high-quality garments to players and supporters of the game. When looking at other sports, we felt that lacrosse did not have as much variety in both active and leisurewear appeal for individuals passionate about the game to wear and represent. As a group genuinely passionate about the sport of lacrosse, we wanted to be the catalyst for this change and, at the same time, help advertise and promote lacrosse across our social media channels and through our clothing.
Fast-forward to the end of 2023, and we had been in contact with several suppliers before finally finding one that matched our vision and enthusiasm behind what we wanted to do. We had countless design and material meetings and found high-quality materials for active and leisurewear clothing. Subsequently, we are on track to launch our first drop of clothing in January 2024, which includes playing t-shirts, leisure t-shirts, and hoodies. Whilst we are very proud of the progress made to date, there is a big journey ahead. When our team at Astra Lacrosse heard the news that in the 2028 LA Olympics, Sixes Lacrosse would feature for the first time, our desire for what we had set out to do only strengthened. In recent years, there has been a fundamental shift in lacrosse. The addition of the Sixes game to the traditional 10s format has and will continue to bring a new audience to our sport, enjoying the spectacle of a fast-paced, high-skilled, and end-to-end action that lacrosse games across the globe are currently producing.
Looking into 2024, we at Astra Lacrosse will continue advertising and showcasing our clothing. This brings the opportunity for talented players and passionate individuals to join our journey through the role of ambassadors and, eventually, sponsorships, which we believe will be of great significance in helping players at the grassroots level all the way to the international level to achieve their lacrosse goals. We want our clothes not just to be clothes but to demonstrate the journey that we are embarking on. With 2028 as a principal goal, we at Astra Lacrosse believe we can make a difference and show what lacrosse is all about.
